Leibniz University

Leibniz Universität Hannover is a modern institution of higher education with a series of interdisciplinary focal points. With its Technical Library, Hannover has the German Central Library for all fields of technology. It is one of the largest specialist libraries in the world for these subjects. The Leibniz Universität, as one of the leading universities in technology and natural sciences, is a founding member of the "Technical University of Lower Saxony" umbrella association.

The Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science has a strong background in water related sciences and sets the ideal stage for the WATENV Master Programme.

Hannover Region

Hannover is the capital of the German Federal State of Lower Saxony and a major nationwide traffic junction. With Hannover Messe and CeBIT, Hannover hosts the world‘s leading showcase for industrial technology and the flagship show of the global IT industry.

The Hannover Region offers a wide range of cultural and recreational opportunities. Leibniz Universität is adjacent to the famous baroque gardens of Herrenhausen. Ancient villages with half-timbered houses and the cities of the "Weser Renaissance" are further highlights of the regional cultural heritage. Fabulous places with deep gorges and bizarre rock formations are typical for the Harz Mountains.
