International Cooperation

International Cooperation at WAWI-Institute has a long tradition. On one side WAWI developed several cooperation in research and especially in continuing education courses with European and North American partners, on the other side a special focus was prioritised on consulting and joint research activities in Developing Countries. Already in the 1960s the special area of "Water Management in Tropical Regions" was started, when several members of the staff were working in different developing countries as consulting engineers.

By cooperation over many years WAWI developed several long term partnerships, enabling a continuous development of joint research, exchange of scientists and PhD students, as well as internships and field studies for students.
